How to use Go Dance Edits to choreograph single track dance workouts:


Each track has 1 x 16 or 32 count introduction before the 32-count phrases kicks in.

Intro: The introductions provide time to get to your teaching spot or brief your class on their starting position and what the class will entail.

Build: After the intro, the beat will build and slowly bring you into the first part of the track. Within the ‘build’ instructors should introduce the breakdown of the choreography.

The Drop/ Bounce: When there’s an increase in overall energy within the track, you can take inject bigger moves.

The Verse: Verses are structured in 64-counts (these can be either 2 x 32s or 1 x 32 repeated left and right).

The Chorus: Chorus sections are structured in 64-counts – the choreography should be bigger here than in the verses (as the chorus is the climax of the song).

Freestyle/ Bridge: In this break, you can take the opportunity to let your class recover, or add in another section of choreography if you wish!

Then, the arrangement will repeat.
