How are music recommendations informed by experts?
Our music catalogue is expertly curated by leading music producers and top fitness professionals.
Our music commissioning team regularly consults with over 100 experts across various disciplines to ensure that our music catalogue excellently supports fitness instructors of all class types.
On the Discover page of the app, the Recommended For You section (informed by your Music Taste Profile) displays albums that have been designed to optimise the specific class(es) you teach.
The Expert Picks section of the app displays expert recommendations (Top 5 albums related to defined disciplines). These recommendations are updated monthly by the featured experts.
Are music recommendations based on discipline or music genre?
Both! Music recommendations are based on user preferences.
When you first log in to the Pure Energy Music app, you’ll be asked a series of onboarding questions relating to your music genre preferences. You’ll also be asked to confirm any classes you teach. Your answers to these questions will create your Music Taste Profile (this can be amended at any time by opening the app and navigating to Account > Personal > Music Taste Profile).
Your Music Taste Profile informs the Recommended For You section on the Discover page of the app.
The Genres section of the app categorises albums by music genre.
The Disciplines section of the app recommends albums per discipline.
The Expert Picks section of the app contains Top 5 album recommendations from experts across various disciplines.
The Programmes section of the app contains music programmed for specific classes, from hatha yoga to HIIT.
